While the blade itself is weightless, it produces a strong gyroscopic effect which means that the blade resists a change in momentum (even though there's no mass to get that momentum). That creates a sort of pseudo-weight to the blade, but it would feel like you're constantly fighting gravity in any direction when moved. TL;DR - hold the blade still and it feels weightless. Try to swing it and it feels like something is pulling on it opposite the direction you're swinging it. (ؿ Ÿ ĵ ó ǥϴٰ ʹ ŷο ξϴ. ãƺ÷ ο ο빮 ݰ ã ֽϴ. ؿ ̴ϸŭ ڱ ڴ ؼ θ° ƴ϶ , ͺ ִ ٰŸ ϰ ִٴ ֽϴ.)

the light has an unusual "gyroscopic effect". Put simply, when you swing the saber, it will want to keep going in that direction you're swinging; it has rotational inertia. So, anyone who wields a lightsaber is going to need some strength, stamina, and coordination to control the blade. It's like wielding a feather (i.e. extremely light [or near-weightless]) with the rotational inertia of, potentially, a broadsword (i.e. hard to change the speed and direction of its motion). Due to the weightlessness of plasma and the strong gyroscopic effect generated by it, lightsabers required a great deal of strength and dexterity to wield, and it was extremely difficult—and dangerous—for the untrained to attempt using.

I recall seeing an interview with Mark Hamill once and he said when they made the original movies Lucas told them to swing the lightsabers as if they weighed a lot. Apparently the original idea was that when the saber was lit the blade created a feeling of intense weight. ̾ ٲ, ī κ ֵθ ̶ и ־?

They essentially used the Force along with years of extensive training to help ensure they didn't accidentally hit themselves or slice their own head off.
